The construction of water pipes will enable the elementary school in Sinh Phinh (Dien Bien) to store its water supply even during dry periods. The increased water capacity allows for the accommodation of more students who have to travel a very long way to school.
The idea.
The elementary school children are dependent on the boarding facilities offered by the school because the elementary school, which is located in a mountainous region, is difficult to reach due to the poorly developed infrastructure. The capacity of sanitary water is currently far from sufficient to supply all students and teachers.
The Plan.
The entire school depends on the only source of water provided by some households on the hillside, which have water tanks and fetch water from the mountain stream. However, this water source is not reliable. In the dry season, they only have enough water for themselves.
Several attempts to drill for water in the nearby ground have been unsuccessful. The most sensible solution is to install water storage tanks on the school grounds and build a water pipeline system that transports water from the mountain stream.
The implementation.
Construction will start in the third or fourth quarter of 2023. We will of course keep you up to date.
